Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machinery and equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Duties: • Safely handles scrap during and after production run. • Keeps area clean and organized in a 5S manner. • Make boxes for Grinding Inspectors. • May assists in training of other employees as required. • Assists other departments to run production when needed. • Understands and follows work instructions at each assigned workstation. • Monitors process for quality; makes decisions on starting/stopping process according to quality of product. • Performs visual and level 4 quality inspections during production, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc. to ensure parts are good if not to scrap parts. • Makes offset adjustments based on quality of product. • Performs basic tooling changes based on supervisor instructions. • Cross-trains as needed on other equipment. • Maintains records as instructed. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
