Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Worker/Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role involves implementing educational activities, supervising children, and fostering their social and emotional development. Responsibilities • Supervise and care for children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play • Assist with diapering, feeding, and nap times for infants and toddlers • Monitor children's behavior and apply effective behavior management techniques • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities • Follow all safety protocols, including administering first aid when necessary • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements • Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education Skills • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs • First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire • Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior • Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members • Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude towards young learners • Experience with caregiving, babysitting, nannying, or behavior management is advantageous • Familiarity with early childhood education practices such as infant care, toddler care, and preschool teaching This role is vital in shaping the early educational experiences of young children while providing a safe and supportive environment for their growth.
