Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Assistant Director to oversee our early childhood education programs. The ideal candidate will have their 40hrs Director training certificate and posses a CDA or higher Certification. Must be reliable and able to open 6:30a-2:30pm Mon-Fri and have a strong background in education administration, higher education teaching, and experience working with young children and students. This leadership role involves managing staff, developing curriculum, ensuring compliance with licensing standards, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children. The Child Care Director will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience and maintaining the high standards of our childcare facility. Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs aligned with best practices and regulatory standards • Supervise and support teaching staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations • Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements and health and safety regulations • Coordinate curriculum planning to promote developmental milestones and learning objectives • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners • Manage administrative tasks in Procare such as budgeting, record keeping, and enrollment processes • Organize staff meetings and professional development activities to ensure ongoing staff growth • Monitor classroom environments to ensure they are safe, engaging, and conducive to learning • Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and continuous improvement within the center Skills • Higher education teaching experience with a focus on early childhood or education-related fields • Strong background in education administration or leadership roles within childcare or academic settings • Experience working with students or young children in educational environments • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and community stakeholders • Knowledge of licensing standards, health regulations, and best practices in early childhood education • Leadership abilities with a focus on team development and conflict resolution • Organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently • Commitment to creating a nurturing environment that supports children's growth and development Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Childcare • Paid time off Work Location: In person
