POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team as per diem Home Infusion Nurses. In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality infusion therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Administer intravenous medications including IVIG, specialty biologics and other infusion treatments in patients' homes • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs before, during, and after infusion therapy • Insert and maintain peripheral IV lines and access central venous catheters (PICC lines, ports, midlines) • Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and home care instructions • Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to medical emergencies • Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control protocols consistently • Manage infusion equipment and supplies efficiently • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and individual needs Requirements • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice • 1 year of ICU, ER, or Infusion Nursing Experience • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current auto insurance • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical requirements of home visits • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills • Excellent communication and patient education abilities • Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills • Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain upon hire) • Willingness to travel within up to 100 miles of Springfield to see patients Benefits WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY UNIQUE: • Complete schedule flexibility – choose your own days and hours • No mandatory weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements unless you choose them • Competitive per-visit compensation with potential for bonuses • Opportunity to build meaningful one-on-one relationships with patients • Autonomy and independence in your nursing practice • Low patient-to-nurse ratios ensure quality care • Diverse case mix keeps work interesting and engaging • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities • Supportive team environment with 24/7 clinical support available • Mileage reimbursement for travel between patient visits
