Medical Assistant (MA)- Paragon Infusion Centers Location: 601 Grassmere Park Drive, Suite 19. Nashville, TN 37211 Shift: Days. Clinic is open Monday- Friday Onsite: This role requires associates to work from the posted locations full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. The Medical Assistant (MA)- Paragon Infusion Centers is responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. How you will make an impact: Provides front and/or back office support. Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows. Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared. Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for visit. Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication. Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete. Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day. Minimum Requirements: Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required. For Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: 2+ years of experience preferred. Outpatient medical office experience preferred. Infusion experience preferred. Medical billing, prior authorization and order verification experience preferred.
