This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team. About the Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented leader to join our team as Manager, Fleet Programs – West. In this role, you will administer and manage Element’s Last Mile Rental van pool program for half of a national fleet exceeding 10,000 vehicles. You will drive operational execution, financial performance, people leadership, and client satisfaction across a rapidly growing program. You will also collaborate across internal functional teams while providing strategic and operational updates to senior leadership. What You’ll Do Facilitate and administrate the Last Mile Rental (LMR) Program for the West region, including revenue and cost management, continuous improvement, and risk oversight. Ensure timely receipt, inspection, remediation, and enrollment of new vehicles into the LMR Program. Oversee program administration including preventative maintenance, registration renewals, warranty work, and related processes. Monitor and manage vehicle transportation and redeployment to ensure timely delivery and receipt to LMR stations. Partner with Technology Solutions to enhance LMR’s digital platform and support operational efficiencies. Lead and develop a team of 2–3 direct reports and approximately 50+ total team members, ensuring performance management, development, and accountability. Schedule and oversee corrective mechanical and body repairs with third-party vendors while managing maintenance and repair cycle times. Engage with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel to maintain fleet health and achieve client objectives. Gather and interpret client sentiment to drive satisfaction, strategy, and program improvement while representing the LMR organization in reviews. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 1–3 years managing rental or fleet operations with understanding of repair, maintenance, inventory, and customer service. 3–5 years customer service or client account management experience in a B2B service environment Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to drive and be on your feet up to 8 hours. Availability on weekends and some holidays. Preferred Qualifications Experienced in day-to-day management of a large rental van fleet. Knowledge of automotive manufacturing, repair, restoration, licensing, and transportation supply chains. Intermediate mechanical knowledge related to delivery vehicle operation. Sound financial acumen and financial planning skills. Process-oriented, organized, and focused on performance metrics. Due to the travel requirements (25–50%), candidates should have convenient access to a major airport in the western US. Location: US Remote - West The hiring base salary range for this position is $98,200 – $135,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will depend on knowledge, skills, experience, internal equity, and market alignment. This range applies only to candidates hired to work within this geographic location; compensation for hires in other locations will reflect the ranges specific to those markets.
