Elderwood at Hornell is seeking a Dietary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the health and well-being of residents by managing, obtaining, and recording information related to their nutritional needs. Responsibilities Dietary Technician – Position Responsibilities Assist with nutritional assessments and recording dietary information for residents Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding nutritional needs and dietary instructions Follow resident meal plans and ensure dietary requirements are met Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all food service areas Cooperate with and support other staff members while maintaining respectful interactions Uphold Elderwood Core Values in all work, including Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Excellence, and Reverence for the Individual Perform all assigned tasks to a high degree of excellence, safety, and cleanliness From Up to Qualifications Dietary Technician – Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required High degree of personal cleanliness and good hygiene; health status suitable for food service Ability to verbally communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff Dependable, patient, and compassionate attitude toward residents Ability to cooperate and work respectfully with all team members Computer skills and ability to work in various software programs This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
