Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurement, prepare financial reports, monitor KPIs, supervise financial staff, and advise management on financial objectives.
Requires 6+ years accounting/audit experience in legal services, BA/BS in accounting, CPA preferred, supervisory experience, and knowledge of CLIO software.
Job Description: • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization for multiple firm clients • Prepare financial information • Prepare, or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies • Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations • Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI) • Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions • Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations Requirements: • BA/BS degree in accounting or related field • 6+ of relevant accounting, audit and/or financial statements preparation experience in the legal professional services industry • Prior supervisory experience • Working knowledge of CLIO software • Public accounting experience is preferred • CPA certification or exams passed is preferred • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (FASB/SFAS) or other comprehensive basis of accounting • Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems • Proficiency with applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Benefits: • Flexibility to manage your days in support of our commitment to work/life balance • Culture that has received multiple top “Places to Work” awards • Opportunity to be part of one of the largest and fastest growing accounting and advisory firms
