Join our robust Data Analytics Team as one of 2 volunteers with web-scraping skills. We specifically need help with a way to efficiently use technology to "scrape" public data from the internet about the need for our services. For instance, we can web-scrape the Illinois Report Card for data about standardized test scores of "low-income averages vs non-low-income average." This is one of hundreds of examples. So we need 2 volunteers to work together to research and set up a free/cheap tool to do the public data collection. Then other members of the team will organize and analyze that data to pull out the most significant points to use in our marketing for donations and grants. This project will require: • At least 5 hours of volunteer work for the next 6 months • Attendance to weekly 1-hour team meetings
