Full Description

Looking to add a Director of Business Development - Commercial Construction. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share in commercial construction. • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, clients, and market segments. • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders. • Lead proposal development, including RFP responses, presentations, and client communications. • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and executive teams to position the company for successful project pursuits. • Monitor regional market trends, competitive activity, and economic conditions to guide strategic decisions. • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. • Support marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation. • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate forecasting to leadership. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred). • 5+ years of business development or sales experience in commercial construction or a related industry. • Established network within the Detroit area construction and real estate community (preferred). • Proven track record of identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities. • Strong understanding of the commercial construction process and industry practices. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Ability to travel locally for client meetings and industry events.
