Full Description

Edge One collaborates with banks, credit unions, and high-volume retailers to streamline cash management, modernize ATM networks, and enable seamless transaction processing. With innovative solutions such as cloud-native terminals, integrated self-service, and real-time analytics, Edge One ensures reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Role Description The Director of Business Development exists to help financial institutions make better decisions regarding their operational technology. This role is focused exclusively on new customer acquisition, specifically identifying and engaging institutions that would benefit from the Edge Now suite, including Edge Connect and Edge Complete solutions. Modern banking requires moving away from fragmented, legacy ATM switching and platform management toward integrated, reliable "as-a-service" models. This role identifies the gap between an institution’s current operational friction and a more efficient future state. Success is defined by the ability to navigate complex organizational structures, provide clarity to decision-makers, and secure long-term partnerships for ATM/ITM switching and banking platform services. While the primary focus is autonomous growth within the assigned territory, the Director will collaborate with the Director of Partner Experience and the Financial Industry Solutions Team (FIST) to ensure consistency in how Edge Complete solutions are positioned across the organization. Responsibilities • Market Engagement: Systematically identify and contact financial institutions within the territory that are currently underserved by their banking platform or ATM switching providers. • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a territory business plan that prioritizes high-probability opportunities and logical market expansion. • Problem-Solving: Evaluate the specific technical and operational challenges of prospective clients and demonstrate how Edge Now solutions resolve those issues. • Pipeline Management: Maintain rigorous oversight of the sales funnel, providing regular, data-driven reports on progress and potential roadblocks. • Contract Management: Lead the negotiation and management of contracts, ensuring all paperwork is accurate, professional, and protective of the company’s interests. • Market Intelligence: Monitor shifts in the financial services industry and competitor movements to ensure Edge One’s offerings remain the most credible choice for financial institutions. • Process Improvement: Contribute to the design and implementation of fulfillment processes to ensure new clients experience a seamless transition to the Edge Now platform. Qualifications • Professional Judgment: The ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions that balance the needs of the client with the profitability of the company. • Ownership: A self-directed work ethic suited for a remote environment; the ability to manage time and tasks without daily supervision. • Clarity in Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions in plain, accessible language. • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to utilize CRM software as a primary tool for organization and reporting. • Persistence: The discipline to move work forward through long sales cycles common in the financial industry. • Interpersonal Capability: The ability to build rapport with executive-level decision-makers based on competence and reliability
