A combination of market data skills, interest in economics and markets, and an enthusiasm to build narratives will be essential. Responsibilities: Help build and support a suite of macroeconomic and investment analysis to support wealth clients in their understanding of the economy, markets and personal finance challenges. This includes building chart books, short papers, presentations, sales ideas, social media posts, educational materials and perspectives on current events that help clients, financial planners [advisors] and the public (media) make sense of the current moment. Collaborate with Investment Management colleagues and specifically support the Chief Investment Strategist to develop and produce compelling content that supports EFE’s investment philosophy, capabilities and point of view. Stay on top of macro and market events and look for ways to draw out stories, themes and perspectives. Collaborate with financial planners [advisors] to ensure they are equipped with sufficient knowledge and perspective to best serve their clients. Bring a commercial lens to the role, working proactively and collaboratively with the Marketing and Financial Planner teams to ensure investment content is timely, engaging and helpful to our clients. Requirements: B.S. or B.A. degree in economics, finance or a related field with an excellent academic record. 5+ years of experience in the investment industry (can be banking, wealth or asset management) in a research or analytical role, including contributions to thought leadership, or an MBA. Deep interest in macroeconomics and investing and enjoys following and understanding financial markets and working with data to bring stories to life.
