ECS is seeking a Senior Automation SME to work in our Arlington, VA office. ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC). The JCDC is CISA's flagship initiative for uniting government, industry, and international partners to proactively defend against cyber threats. Our ECS team is at the center of providing support to JCDC's critical mission as they continue to plan, share, and respond to cyber threats in real time to support the greater cyber community. The Sr. Automation SME will support JCDC to evaluate existing processes, tools, and knowledge management systems to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and deliver operational efficiencies that meet customer needs across JCDC. This position will partner with stakeholders across JCDC to identify automation opportunities and develop scalable solutions to address those gaps. Job Responsibilities: • Assess current processes, workflows, tools, and knowledge management practices and identify system agnostic automation opportunities. • Gather requirements and develop project artifacts such as workflows, use cases, and process changes. • Conduct stakeholder interactions and engagement activities including root cause analysis, solution demonstrations, etc. • Develop and maintain automation roadmaps including prioritization, business value assessments, and alignment with federal compliance, security, and accessibility standards. • Lead the design, build, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation solutions. • Define and track performance measures for automation solutions and conduct leadership briefs on performance to demonstrate return on investment (ROI). • Identify gaps, risks, or dependencies and elevate them as appropriate. • Lead the establishment of governance, training, and documentation of automation solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate and align related workstreams. • Summarize key information and produce briefing materials as an individual contributor. • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (EOD). • Active TS security clearance and SCI eligible. • On-site 1-4 days per week in Arlington, VA. • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or related field. • Experience in process automation, systems integration, and workflow optimization leveraging automation technologies and tools, e.g., Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms, workflow automation tools, and knowledge management systems, e.g., SharePoint. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical. • Ability to think critically and develop short- and long-term automation strategies. • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
