Assist students in developing academic skills and support their use of educational technology in an online environment.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 1-2 years of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Job Description: • Provides academic support to students in the form of coaching, tutoring, or mentoring. • Works with students to develop their academic skills both in general and in the online classroom environment. • Provides assistance with study skills such as reading, note-taking, organization and time management. • Provides academic technology support to students. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Systems Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited institution • 1-2 years prior work experience within the past 5 years required • Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment • Ability to self-manage and work independently in a remote environment • Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy) • Attentive listener, and able to see multiple perspectives • Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills • Experience supporting distance learning students in higher education or other setting • Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment • Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both current practices and emerging trends in distance learning and related technologies • Reliable high-speed internet required.
