EcolSciences, Inc. is a dynamic 50+ year old multi-disciplinary environmental consulting firm located in Rockaway, New Jersey. We are seeking a diligent and qualified individual to fill the following position: Environmental Project Manager/Land Use Permitting Specialist This position involves the following: • Wetland Delineations; • Functional assessments and hydrological studies; • Land Use Permitting for wetlands, flood hazard area, coastal & riparian regulations; • Environmental Impact Assessments; • Ecological Evaluations and Risk Assessments; • Threatened & Endangered Species Assessments; Minimum Requirements Include: • 7-15+ years of relevant experience; • Strong experience with NJDEP Land Use & Army Corps of Engineers environmental regulations; • Knowledge of NYSDEC, PADEP, USFWS, DRCC, Meadowlands, Pinelands, & Highlands Commissions regulations; • Knowledge of regional flora & fauna, including of listed threatened & endangered species; • Ability to manage projects from initial proposal preparation through project completion; • Strong experience with reviewing development plans to identify regulatory constraints and permitting requirements; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; • Proficient with MS Office Suite, working knowledge of ArcGIS; • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; • A degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline required: • Wetland Delineation Certification required, Professional Wetland Scientist designation preferred; • 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus; • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; • Ability to perform outdoor field work in various terrains and environments as required for project completion; • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing; • Versatility and willingness to travel (primarily NJ, NY, PA). An example salary range is $60,000 - $105,000. Actual compensation may vary based on many factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
