Job Summary: We're looking for a Certified Project Manager (CPM) to lead and manage project teams from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and under budget. As a CPM, you'll ensure that all project deliverables align with our strategic goals and adhere to best practices in project management. This position is open to candidates in the Atlanta, Georgia, Virginia, or Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas. While this is primarily a remote role, candidates must be willing to travel up to 30% and be open to working from a local office as needed. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation: • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, SOP, document of understanding and milestones. • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies. • Obtain project approvals and secure necessary resources. Project Execution and Monitoring: • Lead and coordinate project teams, including internal staff and external contractors. • Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan. • Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and reported accurately. • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders. Quality Assurance and Control: • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations. • Implement project management best practices and methodologies. • Conduct regular project reviews and audits. • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Communication and Reporting: • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. • Prepare and deliver regular project reports, including status updates, risk assessments, and financial reports. • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders. • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored appropriately. Project Closure: • Conduct project closure activities, including post-project evaluations and lessons learned. • Ensure all project deliverables are completed and approved. • Close out project budgets and ensure all financial transactions are finalized. • Archive project documentation and hand over relevant information to operational teams. Qualifications: Education and Certification: • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent (e.g., PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster). Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects. • Experience in managing projects in relevant industries (IT, healthcare). Skills and Competencies: • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
