Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Echodyne is seeking a Principal Program Manager with experience in software product development to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions. The Principal Program Manager has a critical role in Echodyne’s relentless pursuit of delivering advanced radar solutions to our customers. The Principal Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams to develop products that support Echodyne’s business growth objectives. The role will include development of software application products supporting radar system integration. RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver innovative products that exceed customer expectations and advance Echodyne’s core technology differentiation Own end-to-end program planning, execution, and customer delivery across cross-functional teams Manage product and program risks and mitigations Report on program status to stakeholders Drive continuous improvements in product development methodologies Fulfill the role of Product Owner by collaborating with Product Management to break down product requirements into releasable features and actionable tasks Own and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, well-groomed, and transparent Provide development teams with design acceptance criteria and a clear definition-of-done Facilitate program and scrum rituals, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog management REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Ability to identify solutions to challenging problems that optimize results for Echodyne and our customers Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies Ability to weigh risks and make clear decisions based on available information Ability to lead engineering and research teams to achieve objectives Experience leading software application development programs DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools or software Experience using project management tools, such as MS Project, MS Excel, and JIRA Experience in Agile or hybrid waterfall-Agile software development methodologies Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Strong communication and presentations skills Building collaborative relationships both internally and externally QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering, other technical degree, or equivalent work experience 8 years or more as Program Manager, Product Owner, or similar role for software applications Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.
