5+ years in operations management within logistics or transportation, team leadership experience, strong knowledge of supply chain and transportation systems, ERP and TMS proficiency, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
The Manager of Enterprise Operations will provide leadership to a team of senior operations professionals, focusing on improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation operations, with a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities: Lead a team of senior operations professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to help them excel in their roles. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., sales, accounting, IT) and external partners (e.g., carriers, warehouses, customers) to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of goods. Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service levels, cost per mile/kilogram, equipment utilization, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting progress against goals and addressing any challenges or issues. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to propose innovative solutions and adapt operations accordingly. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest ideas for streamlining processes and increasing productivity. Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols. Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, maintaining strong working connections and leveraging these networks to drive business opportunities. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in team leadership, including managing team members and mentoring junior staff. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as an Operations Manager or similar role within the logistics or transportation industry. Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, transportation systems, and warehouse operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to various audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS).
