Eccalon is seeking a skilled and versatile communications specialist to develop and implement communication strategies that meet the mission of Eccalon and its clients. The primary role is to develop and execute communication strategies that align with corporate objectives, build positive relationships with employees, customers, media, and community partners, oversee media relations, crisis communication, internal communication, and measure the success of communication initiatives. The specialist will oversee a diverse team of writers, editors, graphic designers, video content developers, event coordinators, market researchers, and instructional designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging teamwork and leveraging the unique skills of each member to produce high‑quality deliverables on time. Responsibilities Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to the communications team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment; collaborate with other departments and senior executives to integrate communication strategies into overall organizational goals. Messaging and Storytelling: Craft consistent and compelling messages and stories to engage audiences and convey the mission, values, and impact. Communications Planning: Create comprehensive communications plans, including messaging frameworks, content calendars, and tactics. Digital and Social Media Strategy: Develop strategies to leverage social media channels effectively, engage online communities, monitor conversations, and respond to inquiries and feedback promptly. Strategic Media Campaigns: Develop, implement, and manage strategic media campaigns to enhance visibility and reputation. Media Relations: Develop press releases and media kits, coordinate interviews and media coverage to ensure accurate and positive representation. Media Inquiries and Stakeholder Engagement: Manage and respond to media and stakeholder inquiries professionally and promptly. Events Strategy and Management: Develop and execute an events strategy, including planning, branding, creative elements, and logistics. Conference and Meeting Branding & Creative Elements: Drive consistent visual identity across meeting materials. Presentation Development: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop tailored presentations for different audiences. Content & Articles: Develop and curate engaging content such as articles, news updates, blogs, white papers, social media posts, podcasts, YouTube content, and other communications. Newsletters & Press Releases: Develop and distribute newsletters to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and initiatives. Executive Speeches & Presentations: Assist senior executives in crafting impactful speeches and presentations. Video Production & Multimedia Campaigns: Manage video production projects, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, and coordination. Stakeholder Engagement: Build nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to foster positive relationships, address concerns, and promote understanding. Internal Communications: Develop strategies including employee newsletters, town halls, and intranet platforms to keep employees informed and engaged. Crisis Communication: Develop crisis communication plans, coordinate messaging, provide guidance, and ensure transparency and timely updates. Measurement and Evaluation: Establish metrics and measurement systems to evaluate effectiveness, analyze data to assess campaign success, make data‑driven decisions, and continuously improve strategies. Required Qualifications 10+ years of relevant hands‑on experience developing and executing communication strategy. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Current Secret security clearance. Proven background in branding, creative design, and event management. Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and multimedia production. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts and stakeholders. Meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated history in project planning and process management. Superb judgment and emotional intelligence with ability to forge consensus among divergent views. Ability to connect with and inspire people to drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities. Exemplary writing skills. Ability to distill complex information into digestible bites for varying audiences. Business acumen and fluency in the fundamentals of communications.
