Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Operations Material Manager. This role is based in Wilsonville, OR. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you'll do: Job Summary The Material Operations Manager is responsible for managing the internal materials & scheduling processes required inside an Eaton factory in order to drive the maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule provided by the Network Planning team through the SIOP process. This role is responsible for the following core processes: • Scheduling production in the short term horizon based on the S&OE processes • Maintaining Inventory Accuracy through accurate cycle counting • Movement of materials through the facility • Internal receipts, storage, distribution and transportation • Manage logistics activities for the site Job Responsibilities • Responsible for managing materials flow and transactions inventory to support the plant's operations by deploying lean material flow. • Responsible for the administration of Indirect and MRO purchasing function according to policies and practices determined by Eaton standards. • Responsible for generating short-term production scheduling aligned the plan defined by the Network • Responsible for monitoring execution of production schedule defined by the Network ( schedule labor on factory floor, monitor execution of the production plan) • Responsible for escalation of of material availability to the COE and Network teams • Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS resulted from the SIOP plan • Execute shipment schedule aligned with the customer priority dates aligned with the network and customer service team. • Champion and deploy continuous improvement leveraging tools such as internal assessments ( MMA,OPA), visual management, standard work and value stream mapping • Responsible for maintaining target inventory levels and meeting OTD goals for both internal and external customers and overall freight targets (including premium freight) aligned with the plan defined by the network • Responsible for plant owned data health activities including but not limited to routings and WMS system, MRO, shipping and receiving, part movements, production scheduling • This role is a point of contact to escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan #LI-LD1 Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution • Minimum five (5) years' combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment • Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in supporting cross-functional SIOP and Inventory management processes • Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution • In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product • APICS/CPIM Certification is preferred Skills: Soft skills • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to motivate team members to drive for results We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
