Bachelor's degree in supply chain or engineering, 4+ years manufacturing experience, 2+ years supply chain experience, SAP knowledge, APICS certification preferred.
The primary function of the Materials Manager is to strategically develop and implement Value-Stream specific material replenishment strategies, consistent with Model plant rules and guidelines to provide the right parts in the right quantities at the right time to support plant operations. The role will require the individual to be familiar with the complete range of SAP rules and the ongoing management of operations/supplier relationships both directly and through his/her subordinates. Since this position manages both entry level and experience subordinates, it is critical that this individual be capable of training and developing direct reports. In this role you will: Replenishment & Inventory Strategy: Develops MRP-based strategies to balance demand with manufacturing and supplier capacity, ensuring optimal inventory levels and order generation. Supply Chain Optimization: Analyzes planning data and inventory trends to meet cost, profit, and delivery targets; manages scrap and surplus reduction. Cross-Functional Coordination: Communicates production schedules across manufacturing, planning, engineering, and product line teams. Team Development: Trains and mentors planners, buyers, and schedulers; establishes metrics aligned with Model Plant standards. Engineering Change Management: Assesses material cost and schedule impacts of engineering changes and ensures smooth implementation. Performance & Strategic Support: Evaluates team performance and supports SCM initiatives, including functional assessments and continuous improvement efforts. Bachelor's Degree in a supply chain related function OR an engineering related function from an accredited institution. Four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing environment Two (2) years of experience in a supply chain function within a manufacturing environment No relocation assistance will be provided. Only candidates that reside within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Bachelor's Degree in business management, Supply Chain, Engineering or related technical degree MBA in supply chain Five (5) years in a solid manufacturing background environment with an emphasis in material, purchasing, supply chain improvement and production leadership experience preferred. APICS certification - CPIM, CSCP or CPM a plus SAP/SAP BW experience a plus LEAN implementation experience a plus
