About the job Administrative Assistant - Cancer Registry (Remote) Join our community Healthcare Admin Jobs has an excellent opportunity available within our Administration Department. This is a remote position based out of 1629 Medical Arts Blvd. in Anderson, IN. If you are looking for challenging work and meaningful advancement, then you should consider a career with Community. Where you fit in The Administrative Assistant for Cancer Registry will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the assigned area and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Your exceptional skills This is a shared position with another administrative assistant. The primary responsibility of these positions is to organize and maintain all information related to the cancer conference/tumor boards across the network, per Commission on Cancer Standards. They will work closely with the administrative leads of each disease site. They will ensure dates are set for each conference and conferences scheduled with virtual participation set up. They will maintain the snapboard schedule for patients within the EPIC electronic medical record where the providers request their cases are discussed. They will ensure the multi-disciplinary groups know who the patients are to be discussed, ensuring the providers are prepared to present. They will take attendance, they will track number of cases, and case discussion, and record per the Commission on Cancer standards. They will ensure providers are following the standards when presenting cases. They will be responsible for ensuring providers sign appropriate disclosure paperwork for continuing education, and will work with the department of academic affairs to ensure providers receive information to ask for CME. Your exceptional qualifications • No license required • High School Diploma or GED required • Minimum of two years of general office experience. • Some knowledge of clinical processes and procedures and comfortability functioning on a patient care unit for auditing purposes. • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with a minimum of keyboarding speed of 50 WPM. • Ability to develop and manage qualify databases with minimal training. • Excellent communication, phone etiquette, organizational and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. • Familiar with medical terminology, medication names, and maintains basic knowledge of clinical care processes.
