Job Title: High School Spanish Teacher Minimum Job Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field • Michigan Teacher Certification - highly qualified in subject area for level • FA-FS (Spanish) Endorsement • 1-3 Years successful teaching experience preferred • Consideration may be made for a non-certified applicant with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and a desire to enroll in a certificate program. Essential Performance Responsibilities: • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate. • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students. • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment. • To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth. • Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in Spanish and other world languages • Ability to plan specially designed instruction for students with disabilities • Other duties as assigned.
