Join EBCAP as our Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator and lead a program that transforms lives—both for the volunteers you'll support and the children they'll inspire. About This Opportunity As the Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator, you'll be the heartbeat of a program that empowers adults 55+ to make meaningful contributions in children's lives. You'll recruit, train, and support dedicated volunteers while building lasting partnerships with schools and community organizations. This isn't just administration—it's about creating connections that matter and watching the ripple effects of intergenerational mentorship transform your community. What You'll Do Build and Nurture Your Volunteer Community • Recruit passionate individuals 55+ who want to give back • Guide volunteers through onboarding, from eligibility verification to background checks and interviews • Match volunteers with placements where they'll thrive—schools, Head Start programs, and child care centers • Conduct meaningful site visits to support volunteers and strengthen relationships with partner organizations Empower Through Training and Development • Design and deliver engaging pre-service orientations and monthly training sessions • Equip volunteers with skills and resources to excel in their roles • Plan recognition events that celebrate contributions and foster community Ensure Program Excellence • Maintain comprehensive, confidential records and databases • Coordinate volunteer assignments and resolve challenges with care and professionalism • Prepare reports for program management and funding agencies like AmeriCorps Seniors • Process stipends and reimbursements accurately and efficiently Serve as Community Ambassador • Represent the program through presentations and outreach • Develop positive relationships with schools, nonprofits, and community partners • Increase program visibility and impact throughout the region What You Bring Essential Qualifications • Experience working with older adults (55+) and/or managing volunteers • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and volunteer management databases • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean background check • Ability to work independently while adapting to changing priorities • Patience and empathy when working with diverse populations You'll Excel in This Role If You Have • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human services, volunteer management, or related field • Background in program coordination or working with seniors and children • Familiarity with data management systems (Truescreen, Field Print, NSOPW, Voltrax, Blackboard Connect) • Flexibility to attend occasional after-hours and weekend events • Willingness to travel regionally Why EBCAP?
