Description Position Title: Validator Location: Remote work based in Michigan with occasional travel within the state Schedule: Example: Monday - Friday Salary Range: $48,996-$59,884 Class: Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Validator supports the Great Start to Quality Validation process to ensure fidelity to the Great Start to Quality model through the Validation of a program’s Self-Reflection responses and corresponding documentation. The Validator creates relationships with educators to support them on their journey to provide high-quality childcare for the families of Michigan’s children. Key Responsibilities: • Validate program Self-Reflections for Great Start to Quality following established protocols and procedures including scheduling and conducting Validation calls with each program. • Accurately input data, maintain detailed records, and prepare written reports summarizing validation results in accordance with established protocols. • Collaborate with internal teams and providers to interpret findings, offer guidance, and support the development of quality improvement plans across diverse early learning environments. • Supporting marketing and technical assistance for GSQ through exhibiting, presenting at conference, webinars, and other opportunities, specifically with external partners. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: This list is intended to represent job related duties and should not be viewed as exhaustive. • Conduct validations of program Self-Reflections, including scheduling, documentation review, and provider communication. • Input validation data accurately and in a timely manner in the GSQ system. • Prepare clear, detailed reports of findings in line with established protocols. • Participate in document reviews related to appeals and feedback processes. • Advise Quality Improvement Manager to support providers in developing improvement plans. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and uphold data quality standards. • Respond to inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely program support. • Participate in team meetings and workgroups to support program improvement efforts. • Meet regularly with supervisors to report progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities. • Maintain tool reliability and system knowledge through ongoing professional development. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Associate degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; 5 years for Level II; Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field preferred. • Knowledge of Great Start to Quality indicators, standards, and documentation requirements. • Experience with MiRegistry and professional development systems. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. • Proficient in data entry, reporting, and use of technology systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web-based applications. • Knowledge of Developmental Screenings, Curricula, and Child Assessments • Knowledge of Great Start to Quality indicators and documentation requirements. • Knowledge of Michigan's Early Childhood Standards of Quality and Michigan Out-of-School Time Standards of Quality. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, it is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
