Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including specialty clinics such as dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical procedures, patient care, and administrative support, contributing to a seamless patient experience and efficient clinical operations. Responsibilities • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. • Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature with precision. • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring comfort. • Support physicians with clinical tasks such as administering medications, performing basic X-ray imaging, and assisting during minor procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings. • Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting patient encounters, updating records, and ensuring data accuracy. • Perform ICD coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing processes and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. • Support hospital medicine units or trauma centers by assisting with patient monitoring in Level I or Level II trauma environments. • Conduct routine laboratory tasks including specimen collection and processing for diagnostic testing. • Assist in medication administration under supervision while adhering to safety protocols. • Support emergency medicine teams by providing timely assistance during urgent situations in urgent care or emergency departments. • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean clinical environment. • Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and supporting overall patient satisfaction. Qualifications: • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
