This leader improves how DwyerOmega sells, serves customers, and grows by continuously improving commercial processes, methods, behaviors, and capabilities worldwide. The role is intentionally broader than sales training: it combines a global innovation process with the architecture of a true global sales enablement function, so that the best ideas from across the commercial organization are identified, tested, scaled, and embedded in how every seller works. Key responsibilities Global commercial innovation ¦ Build and run a global process to identify, test, prioritize, and scale improvements to how DwyerOmega sells and grows. ¦ Facilitate cross-regional groups of commercial experts to surface innovative ideas and convert them into executable plans. ¦ Partner closely with Data Strategy & Insights to identify evidence-based opportunities, validate problems, and prioritize innovations by expected impact. ¦ Own the global commercial innovation roadmap, aligned to the Commercial Strategic Priorities and validated with Regional VPs and Regional ComEx. ¦ Design scalable growth plays for key accounts, cross-sell, channel partners, EPC, and MRO. ¦ Identify and pilot AI and automation use cases that raise seller productivity and reduce administrative burden. Global sales enablement ¦ Architect a global sales enablement function spanning training, tools, resources, a sales academy, and continuous improvement. ¦ Own the global enablement strategy, content architecture, and annual training cadence and calendar. ¦ Build scalable product, application, and onboarding frameworks, and partner enablement and certification paths. ¦ Embed DwyerOmega's selling methodology into the core of the global sales training architecture. ¦ Equip Regional ComEx teams to adapt, deploy, and reinforce enablement locally, and measure adoption and impact globally. From ideation to execution ¦ Lead the Sr. Manager, Global Commercial Programs as the execution arm of the innovation roadmap, moving innovations from concept to pilot to global adoption. ¦ Ensure new behaviors and methods are embedded in the commercial operating model rather than run as one-off initiatives. ¦ Report progress, adoption, and business impact to Global Commercial Excellence and commercial leadership. Scope and key partners Owns globally ¦ Global commercial innovation process and roadmap ¦ Global sales enablement strategy, training cadence, and calendar ¦ Product, application, and onboarding training framework ¦ External partner enablement and certification ¦ Playbooks, growth motions, and AI productivity pilots Key partners ¦ Data Strategy & Insights (opportunity identification and impact measurement) ¦ Global Sales Operations (embedding approved changes in the operating system) ¦ Regional ComEx and Regional VPs (local adaptation, deployment, and adoption) ¦ Product Management and Marketing (product, application, and channel content) Director leadership expectations ¦ Be a recognized thought leader in your area, inside DwyerOmega and in the wider industry, bringing an outside-in view of leading practice. ¦ Build and execute a multi-year functional strategy aligned to the Commercial Strategic Priorities. ¦ Develop and grow talent: hire well, coach, and build the capability of your team and of the regional partners who deliver your work. ¦ Prioritize relentlessly, focusing people, budget, and attention on the opportunities with the greatest commercial impact. How this role works ¦ Collaborate closely with global commercial teams across AMER, EMEA, and APAC, including Regional VPs, Regional ComEx, Product Management, Marketing, and the Data Team. ¦ Facilitate groups of subject-matter experts to draw out innovative ideas, then turn them into clear, executable plans with owners, milestones, and measures. ¦ Influence without authority: build alignment and commitment across regions, brands, and functions you do not manage. ¦ Think strategically and ahead of the business, anticipating what DwyerOmega will need to operate and scale as a $2B+ company. ¦ Bring a continuous improvement mindset: challenge existing processes, bring improvement opportunities to the business, and identify the areas where innovation will have the greatest impact. What success looks like in the first 12 to 18 months ¦ A prioritized global innovation roadmap, agreed with regional leaders, within the first 6 to 9 months. ¦ Innovations piloted, measured, and scaled, with clear evidence of commercial impact. ¦ A global enablement architecture and training calendar in place, with consistent onboarding and certification across regions and acquired businesses. ¦ Measurable gains in seller productivity, ramp time, and adoption of new methods.
