Job Duties: WHY I DO MY JOB | Job purpose To support engagement with customer insights across the Merchandising organization. To deliver insights directly to Merchandising leadership and to build out best practices and learning approaches that drive Merchant proficiency with our insight solutions and their applications. To coach and mentor junior members of the team. May work remotely 100% of the time (anywhere in U.S.). WHAT I DO | Key accountabilities Facilitate end-to-end project management (ideation, design, execution, delivery, and socialization) of insight projects for key Merchandising stakeholders. Deliver projects through a combination of Applied Data Science analysis and Shopper Behavior, using insights to tell an impactful story. Support other initiatives of the Merchandising Engagement Team. Lead the creation of case studies for every project and role-model best practice sharing between dunnhumby teams. Keep up to date with retail trends and best practices and make it relevant for client counterparts. Support the continued evolution and growth of our collaborative insight practice with retailers and suppliers through creating content for and attending Shopper Insights community forums. Take ownership of your career and skills development. Maintain all required skills & complete necessary training and act in line with our values and Code of Business Conduct. Manage bespoke insight projects end-to-end, from scoping to delivery, working in partnership with Applied Data Science team. Capture and track value delivered from analysis projects and consulting, hitting an end of year value target. Leverage existing shopper behavior tools to conduct analysis for senior stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of our shopper behavior tools in order to speak to their appropriate application, coach users, and craft analysis plans using the tools. Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent). In lieu of a degree, must have at least 2 years of professional experience in a marketing / business analytics role. In addition to the degree (or alternate 2 years of experience), must have at least 3 years of experience in each of the following: Providing retail/retail insights, shopper metrics, or panel data; Understanding of retail/merchant objectives that manifest in assortment, pricing, promotion decisions; Experience working with industry shopper data tools and methodology used in category management, pricing and promotion, and merchandising strategy; Managing and supporting client stakeholders; Leading projects working with an analyst team doing direct coding to produce bespoke output to address client questions; Working in the grocery/drug store industry; Driving commercial value through sold products and services; and Analyzing customer behavioral data and transforming the data into actionable insights.
