Lead product vision and backlog management, liaise between business and development teams, prioritize features, and ensure delivery of product increments.
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in federal government requirements elicitation, experience as Product Owner in health IT or federal contracting, Agile certifications preferred, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Details Responsibilities: • Establish and refine a clear vision for the product and communicate it effectively to the development team and stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands the product's strategic direction • Manage the Product Backlog, including creating stories/epics, prioritizing them with business stakeholders and making it visible and understandable to all stakeholders and team members • Act as the liaison between the business, customers, and the development team, gathering feedback, anticipating needs, and ensuring the product meets their requirements • Provides guidance, answers questions from developers, and ensures the team understands the backlog items and the overall product objectives • Work with the team to deliver product increments at regular intervals and monitor key product metrics to evaluate progress and make informed decisions • Evaluate priority and communicate/set expectations to all stakeholders regarding when features/functions could be delivered to business stakeholders • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Proven working experience as a Product Owner in health IT and/or federal government contracting environments. • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to lead a cross-functional team • Positive approach to continuous growth and actively applies feedback to strengthen their work • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA). Education and Certifications: • Bachelor's degree + 5 years' experience in requirements elicitation in federal government environment • Agile certifications preferred Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies • Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs • Familiarity with supply chain, prosthetics, and/or system modernization • Active clearance for Public Trust Position with access to VA systems, including PIV, and GFE #cjpost
