Role: Head of Revenue Cycle Management Location: Remote About Duet Duet exists to reshape primary care by helping nurse practitioners (NPs) own and operate their own practices. We provide NPs with everything they need to launch and grow — from credentialing to technology to ongoing support — and we’re building the largest network of NP-owned practices in the country. This is healthcare ownership, reimagined. The Role We’re looking for a builder — someone who knows how revenue cycle works but doesn’t treat it like a static machine. As the Head of Revenue Cycle Management, you’ll lead Revenue Cycle Operations and Credentialing, the functions that keeps our practices financially healthy: from payer credentialing to billing, collections, and everything in between. You’ll be both strategist and executor — setting direction, solving thorny problems, and building scalable systems to support a fast-growing, multi-state network. This is a player-coach role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, rolls up their sleeves when needed, and knows how to create structure that actually works for people. What You’ll Do Build and Scale Systems • Own and evolve the full revenue lifecycle — including credentialing, billing, collections, and escalations — for a growing network of NP-owned practices • Design workflows that balance automation with human support, optimizing for accuracy, speed, and experience • Turn metrics into movement: Drive performance across KPIs like clean claim rate, days to pay, time to credential, and net collections Own the Customer Experience • Be the go-to problem solver for high-stakes RCM and credentialing issues, jumping in to support practices with clarity and empathy • Work with Customer Success to give NPs visibility into their financial and credentialing performance — and confidence in how we’re supporting them • Build systems for proactive updates, transparent timelines, and consistently strong communication Lead People and Partners • Manage a hybrid team of in-house staff and external vendors — holding them to high standards and helping them level up • Create clear service levels, accountability structures, and escalation paths that scale with our growth • Coach your team and share knowledge across the org to raise the bar for RCM Collaborate Across Duet • Work closely with Product to build tools and dashboards that make RCM and credentialing seamless • Partner with Growth, Legal, and Success to get every new practice credentialed and paid fast • Bring insights to leadership on payer behavior, operational risks, and process improvements What You Bring • 5–10 years of experience in RCM, with a clear record of improving systems and outcomes • Startup or scaling experience — you know how to build from zero, not just optimize legacy structures • Strong vendor management chops and a data-driven mindset • Exceptional communication skills: calm under pressure, clear with customers, and able to lead through ambiguity • A bias for action and a belief in the power of NPs to transform care Why Duet? • Join a mission-driven team redefining healthcare through NP ownership and innovation • Lead and shape a critical function with wide impact and real autonomy • Work with entrepreneurial clinicians, builders, and operators who are all in on doing things differently
