POSITION SUMMARY: DuBois Chemicals is looking for a highly performing Regional Service Manager who lives in the NE part of the United States to lead a team of technical service representatives. Responsible for ensuring execution of value proposition through service provided to customers in a defined geography, enhancing company presence in the market and maintaining expenses in line with budget. Providing solutions to our fleet wash, surface treatment, industrial food & beverage customers by focusing on lowering their total operating costs and consistently exceeding their expectations using our diverse product lines and multiple channels to the market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervise, mentor, and develop technical service representatives/service technicians within the region. • Provide technical service to support product applications at customer’s sites and create superior account satisfaction and retention. • Maintain expenses of all activities within service group staying in line with budget requirements. • Develop service plans to meet customer requirements and expand market share. • Organize and engage in corporate resources in support of the service team. • Effectively set performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues. • Develop technical and commercial skills of service representatives and support selling activity including service requirements, negotiations and business expansion related to large opportunities. • Provide market intelligence related to competitive activity and market trends. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with sales managers and cross functional support teams across the organization. • Effectively hire, develop, and lead team members to support the customers and sales teams. • Assist team in supporting multiple customers across given geography that utilize a variety of product lines. • Identify training needs , implement training programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. • Lead team in their ability to report, document communicate findings, abnormal conditions and offer recommendations. • Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude while assisting service representatives/service technicians to resolve customer’s technical challenges and assist with improving processes • Assist team with DuBois eTools, System Surveys and Cost Calculators. • Travel to assigned customers working with service representatives/service technicians on customer requirements. • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ years of technical service or technical service management in the chemical/industrial environment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and detailed knowledge of applications across product portfolios. • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team to provide superior service. • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to think towards solutions critically and strategically. • Demonstrated ability to manage expenses and financials. • Ability to train and develop service representatives/service technicians. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current/prospective customers, as well as sales managers. • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding team objectives. • Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.
