Cashier / Customer Service & Merchandiser Company: DS Garden Supplies Pay: $25.00 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Location: 130 Doolittle Drive #17, San Leandro, CA Job Overview Join our dynamic team at DS Garden Supplies as a Cashier / Customer Service & Merchandiser, where you'll be the friendly face that enhances every customer’s shopping experience! You’ll assist customers with product questions, manage transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service • Operate the POS system accurately (cash handling, credit cards, receipts) • Assist customers with product questions, demos, and upselling • Maintain organized and attractive product displays • Restock shelves and monitor inventory levels throughout the store • Answer phone calls professionally with excellent phone etiquette • Support sales goals through proactive engagement and suggestive selling • Keep the checkout area, aisles, and sales floor clean and organized Qualifications • Retail or cashier experience preferred (garden, hardware, or grocery environment is a plus) • Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are helpful • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math • Experience supervising small teams is a plus but not required • Comfortable demonstrating products and engaging customers • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills • Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and basic retail math Why Join DS Garden Supplies?
