Full Description

In short, you’ll join our Evolve engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer, helping modernize critical legacy green‑screen applications running on IBM i / DB2 into reliable, cloud‑hosted systems. This role blends deep technical execution with collaboration, as you work across engineering, product, and business partners to rebuild accounting, cashiering, and operational workflows using modern full‑stack, event‑driven architectures. In long, as the Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full‑stack applications using Angular and .NET • Partnering closely with product owners, business analysts, and technical teams to understand existing processes and system dependencies • Translating mainframe‑era workflows into clean, well‑documented APIs and services • Building and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support front‑end and back‑end integration • Creating Angular‑based single‑page applications with strong attention to usability and performance • Contributing to event‑driven and workflow‑oriented solutions, including asynchronous processing, reconciliation, and backfill scenarios • Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code aligned with engineering best practices • Owning engineering solutions end‑to‑end and proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability, observability, and scalability • Ensuring applications meet security, performance, and compliance expectations • Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers to support team growth and continuous improvement So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking For? • Engineers who enjoy modernizing complex, legacy systems and aren’t intimidated by untangling decades‑old processes • Strong collaborators who can communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders • Problem solvers who take ownership and think critically about long‑term maintainability • Team players who value clean code, testing, and thoughtful design • People who are curious, adaptable, and open to evolving engineering practices • Engineers comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools responsibly, with a strong human‑in‑the‑loop mindset The Specifics. • 5+ years of full‑stack development experience with C# and .NET • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivelant work expereince • Hands‑on experience building scalable, distributed systems • Strong experience developing APIs using RESTful and/or GraphQL approaches • Solid Angular experience for front‑end development • Experience designing and working with event‑driven architectures • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including complex queries and stored procedures • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript • Experience writing unit tests and supporting high‑quality, maintainable codebases • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services such as App Services, Functions, and Azure SQL • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation Nice to Have. • Background in financial services, accounting systems, or corporate finance environments • Experience modernizing legacy or monolithic applications into service‑oriented or microservices architectures • Exposure to real‑time data streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka / Confluent) • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) • Familiarity with workflow or process automation tools such as Pega BPM or Informatica • Experience working with Snowflake, including querying and performance tuning So What About the Perks?
