JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Quality Assurance Inspector DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance LOCATION : 1337 W Wintergreen Rd. Hutchins, Texas 75141 JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be decisive and able to make decisions. Be a team player who can be adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment. Must be dependable and have strong interpersonal relations skills. Ability to communicate professionally through e-mail and in person, including with employees from 3rd party facilities and internal Driscoll’s stakeholders. Must be detail-oriented and able to document inspection findings accurately. Able to lift 10-30 pounds. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 1. Performs daily quality overview inspection to assess fruit consistency, identify trends, and ensure compliance with established quality specifications. 2. Understand concepts of Quality inspections and reporting of quality, including conducting holding tests for Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, and Blueberries. 3. Make prompt and informed decisions during inspections to prevent quality issues and ensure fruit integrity. 4. Communicates fruit quality inspection results clearly and effectively through written reports, email correspondence to cross-functional team, and 3rd – party facilities. 5. Collaborates with employees and 3rd party facilities employees to ensure compliance with Driscoll’s standards and resolve quality concerns in a professional manner. 6. Monitors and reports temperature variations in storage and transport areas that may affect product quality or shelf life. 7. Reports any product damage, contamination, or improper stacking, and reports any issues that could compromise the product quality. 8. Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with all product quality and food safety requirements. 9. Ensures protection of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials. 10. Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community. 11. Perform other duties as instructed by the QA Supervisor. Personal Skills: 1. Show values of Passion, Humility, and Trustworthiness. 2. Take an active role in Safety. 3. Take an active role in Quality. Pay attention to incoming pallets and check lot codes and trays (make sure all trays are Conventional or Organic and not mixed).
