Position Overview Delta Beverages is reshaping the infused beverage category with premium, fast-acting THC-infused drinks designed for modern consumers seeking intentional, stigma-free alternatives. As one of the fastest-growing brands in the space, Delta is expanding rapidly throughout the US. We are seeking a Tennessee State Sales Manager to drive statewide growth, lead distributor partnerships, open high-value retail and chain accounts, and build a disciplined operating rhythm that accelerates revenue and market penetration across the state. This role is ideal for a strategic, structured, data-driven operator with deep experience in regulated beverage categories and a passion for building markets through disciplined execution. The Tennessee State Sales Manager owns the full commercial performance of the TN market - overseeing distributor leadership, field execution, forecasting, retail and chain development, and activation strategy. Key Responsibilities Distributor Leadership & Statewide Execution • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tennessee distributor partners, ensuring alignment on sales objectives, programming, and execution standards. • Lead structured weekly and monthly distributor cadences, including scorecard reviews, ride-alongs, program planning, and forecasting. • Provide distributor teams with portfolio training, brand education, and selling strategies that elevate retail performance. • Oversee inventory flow, forecasting, and order cycles to maintain consistent availability across the state. Field Sales Leadership • Lead and develop Tennessee field sales representatives to elevate distribution, merchandising, displays, and sampling execution. • Conduct weekly coaching sessions, ride-alongs, and market visits to reinforce operating discipline. • Ensure alignment between distributor and field teams, enabling unified execution across priority markets. • Maintain strong visibility into market performance across on-premise and off-premise channels. Collaboration and Partnerships: • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager and VP of Sales. • Align with Legal to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards. • Partner with external distributors and key accounts to enhance market penetration. Retail & Chain Account Management • Secure new retail and chain authorizations across grocery, liquor, convenience, wellness, and specialty channels throughout Tennessee. • Build and maintain relationships with corporate buyers and category managers using structured communication and quarterly planning. • Oversee the execution of retail and chain programs - including resets, planograms, promotions, and retail standards. • Collaborate with distributor and field teams to ensure flawless execution of retail and chain mandates. Statewide Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth • Build and execute Tennessee’s annual and quarterly sales strategy in partnership with the Regional Sales Director and HQ leadership. • Identify white-space opportunities, high-priority territories, and strategic retail and chain targets. • Personally participate in retail and chain openings and high-value sales opportunities. • Own statewide KPIs, including distribution, velocity, revenue, display execution, and chain compliance. Market Development & Activation • Conduct frequent market rides to evaluate execution, strengthen retailer relationships, and surface growth opportunities. • Lead sampling events, partnerships, local activations, and trade shows to drive brand awareness across TN. • Stay informed on competitive activity, consumer behavior, and regulatory environments impacting Tennessee. Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management • Report weekly and monthly performance metrics including volume, distribution, velocity, and retail/chain execution. • Use data to diagnose issues, identify trends, and inform strategic action plans. • Maintain CRM pipeline visibility covering accounts, distributor activity, and sales opportunities. • Provide weekly summaries to leadership highlighting insights, risks, and actionable next steps. Qualifications & Experience Required • 5+ years of sales experience in beverages, alcohol, cannabis, or regulated CPG categories. • Demonstrated ability to manage a large state or multi-region territory with structured planning and disciplined execution. • Strong distributor management background, including leading performance routines and driving accountability. • Proven success securing retail and chain authorizations and managing key retail relationships. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a competitive market. • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to turn data into strategic action. • Strong communication, negotiation, influence, leadership, and relationship-building skills. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency with CRM platforms, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. • Ability to travel across Tennessee (up to 60%). • Passion for the infused beverage category and familiarity with Tennessee’s regulatory context. Preferred • Existing relationships with Tennessee distributors, buyers, and retail leadership. • Experience scaling emerging brands within beverage or CPG. • Experience executing merchandising, promotional strategies, and trade marketing programs.
