Full Description

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting operations of a rapidly growing restaurant chain with multiple locations across California, Texas, Oregon, and Seattle. This position will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper classification of transactions • Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify trends and areas for cost savings. Work closely with management to develop and implement expense control measures • Bank Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and transactions • Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons. Provide insights to management to support decision-making • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations • Audit Support: Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Provide documentation and explanations as needed Qualifications: • BA degree in Accounting or Finance preferred • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field • Proficiency in accounting software (e,g R365) • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Skills (Preferred): • Experience in the restaurant industry a plus • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Be our partners and enjoy these with us: • Salary ranges: $80,000 - $85,000 per year • Medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance based on full-time work status • Paid Sick leave: 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours • Paid Time-off: 10 days per year • Paid Holidays: 10 Paid Holidays per year • 401k retirement plan based on full-time work status • Employee Discount Programs • Opportunities for growth and career advancement • Dough Zone USA and Moji Food are committed to creating a diverse work environment and are proud to be an equal employment opportunity employer.
