Position Title: Room Attendant/Housekeeper Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor Status: Full-Time Work Location: In person Position Summary The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort. This role ensures all guest rooms meet Hilton brand standards and supports overall guest satisfaction. Room Attendants must maintain a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Cleaning • Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms. • Replenish amenities, towels, and supplies according to brand standards. • Replace dirty linens and remove trash, debris, and used items. • Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment are clean, functional, and properly arranged. Quality & Standards • Meet or exceed Hilton cleanliness and presentation standards for all rooms. • Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or unusual room conditions to the Housekeeping Supervisor. • Follow all cleaning procedures, checklists, and safety guidelines. • Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping cart and storage area. Guest Service • Greet guests politely when encountered and respond to guest requests professionally. • Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. • Deliver additional items to rooms as requested (towels, pillows, amenities, etc.). Teamwork & Communication • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of daily room assignments. • Communicate room status updates (clean, dirty, inspected) through the designated system or to the supervisor. • Assist coworkers and respond to operational needs during high-demand periods. Qualifications • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. • Ability to work independently and manage time well. • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., push/pull housekeeping carts, and stand/walk for the majority of the shift. • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements • Frequent bending, lifting, standing, reaching, and repetitive movements. • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, products, and equipment safely. Work Environment • Fast-paced hotel environment with indoor and occasional outdoor tasks. • Exposure to cleaning agents, noise, and fluctuating activity levels.
