Job Description Job Title Sr. Procurement Specialist – Direct Materials. Reports To Sr. Procurement Manager Summary This position will have the responsibility to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and procurement of Chemicals for Dorf Ketal in U.S. & Canada. Excellent skills in communication, problem solving, facilitation, negotiation, multi-tasking & project management are important elements expected from this position. This position will be based out of Dorf Ketal’s office in Houston, Texas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Analyze historic spend data to identify opportunities for supply consolidation, optimization and for competitive sourcing. • Work closely with other functional areas and all the manufacturing plants to establish an effective supply base. • Manage pricing updates as needed in ERP system and reporting. • Develop sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market conditions, and future technologies to achieve the saving objective. Assist with the tracking and reporting monthly realized cost savings and cost avoidance from procurement initiatives and actions. • Ensure competitive cost, quality, and appropriate service levels for assigned procurement responsibility for goods & services. • Negotiate, implement, and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to all company policies, directives, and sustainability targets related to purchases from outside vendors. • Conduct competitive sourcing events (RFx’s) and negotiate pricing/contracts for specific Indirect and Capex goods and services, in compliance with Legal, Technical and SHE requirements. • Drive continues improvement activities within the manufacturing plants, lead actions with the main stake holders. • Understand vendor capabilities, optimize SRM, identify opportunities for alternative sources and arrangements, and make recommendations to reduce cost and risk, and optimize working capital. • Establish, analyze and report metrics to track vendor performance, conduct periodic performance and business review meetings with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement. • Serve as a primary point of contact to develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers. • Ability to travel as required to vendors and Dorf Ketal office/manufacturing sites. Certificates and Licenses: · CPSM or another ISM certification, preferred.
