Mission As the Director of Corporate Development & Strategy, your mission is to help DoorLoop decide where to build, partner, or buy to accelerate revenue growth, expand our product footprint, and win our market. You will drive clarity around our market, customers, competitors, and strategic opportunities—and transform those insights into high-impact, revenue-driving initiatives that create real business value. You’ll own the front end of the strategy lifecycle: generating insights, validating opportunities, sizing financial impact, shaping strategic plans, securing alignment, and shepherding initiatives through early launch before handing off to the right long-term owners. This is a hands-on strategic role, and you must be capable of bringing structure, clarity, and direction to cross-functional efforts to ensure execution on the highest-impact opportunities. Responsibilities Lead market, segment, and competitive analyses including TAM/SAM/SOM, upmarket opportunities, and product adjacencies. Personally conduct deep market and competitive research and build financial and operational models without reliance on junior analysts. Own an ongoing competitive intelligence engine that monitors competitors, product launches, earnings calls, and market shifts. Develop and maintain a prioritized pipeline of strategic opportunities, including: Product adjacencies & integrations Partnerships Potential M&A targets Conduct structured build vs. partner vs. buy evaluations combining strategic, financial, product, and execution perspectives. Personally build financial and scenario models to quantify revenue impact, unit economics, risk, and ROI. Ensure all strategic recommendations and initiatives are grounded in clear revenue impact, ROI, and unit economic improvements. Support and, when appropriate, help negotiate and launch high-impact partnerships, collaborating with Product, Partnerships, BizOps, Legal, and other teams. Define and scope strategic initiatives, including problem definition, opportunity size, assumptions, and success metrics. Provide strategic clarity, direction, and structure to cross-functional teams—ensuring the right stakeholders are aligned, resourced, and accountable. Drive early execution, experimentation, and validation to reach a clear decision point on whether to continue investing. Facilitate decision-making, remove roadblocks, and maintain momentum before handing off validated initiatives to the appropriate functional owners. Build detailed models that quantify the impact of new opportunities, partnerships, pricing adjustments, and new product lines. Partner with FP&A and BizOps to align on assumptions, assess unit economics, and evaluate ROI—using experimentation and iterative analysis to validate assumptions and inform go/no-go decisions. Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, COO, CPO, CFO, and CRO by bringing structure, clarity, and analytical rigor to complex questions. Develop clear prioritization frameworks to help leadership decide where to focus across product, GTM, partnerships, new markets, and internal initiatives. Provide clear, data-backed recommendations about where DoorLoop should focus across product, go-to-market, customer success, partnerships, and new markets. Develop strategic materials used in executive discussions, planning cycles, and investor communication. Requirements Experience & Background 7–10+ years of professional experience in: Strategy consulting Investment banking Private equity, venture capital, or growth equity Corporate development, strategic finance, or business operations at a high-growth company Direct experience with B2B SaaS is required (operator, investor, or advisor) with exposure to companies of similar scale and growth. Experience in proptech and/or fintech is strongly preferred. Proven track record of identifying, evaluating, and driving strategic opportunities (product, partnership, or M&A) from idea → recommendation → execution. Experience operating within high-growth startups or scale-ups, with comfort in fast-changing environments. Skills & Capabilities Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving. Strong hands-on analytical, financial modeling, and market research skills. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional initiatives without acting as a traditional project manager. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior executives. Deep comfort synthesizing complex data into clear, compelling narratives. Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to drive alignment across Product, FP&A, BizOps, Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, and CX. Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex topics to diverse audiences. Who You Are A strategic operator who can think big while also performing hands-on analysis.
