About the Team This role reports into our New Verticals team, which was launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering our local economies outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant tooling, dasher tooling and software products. This specific team within New Verticals is focused on incubating our next set of bets, with Consumer Financial Products and Services being one of our top priorities. About the Role We’re looking for an Associate Manager to support the launch and scaling of new consumer financial products at DoorDash - helping shape how millions of customers pay, collect rewards, and manage value across the DoorDash platform. This role sits within New Verticals’ Consumer Financials Strategy & Operations team and will help incubate net-new financial bets, from early concept through launch, learning, and iteration. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Finance, and Operations to define requirements, support launches, and run experiments that improve how customers earn, store, and spend value on DoorDash. You’ll translate complex product and operational needs into clear execution plans, ensuring new product experiences are simple, intuitive, and trusted as adoption scales. You will report to the Senior Manager / GM of our Consumer Financials team and operate as an individual contributor. We operate in a hybrid model, where we spend some time collaborating in person and some time working from home. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Strategize. Partner with many teams to make your ideas come to life; Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Design, etc. Experiment. Use data-driven decision-making to run tests on everything from new support experience to retention-driving programs. Build. You are excited to work on something that hasn't been done before. Your job will include building products and launching plans from the ground up. Analyze. Assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions and iterate given insights. We’re excited about you because… You have 4-6+ years of experience in tech, strategy, consulting, operations, or a related high-performance environment. Experience in fintech and/or payments industries a bonus You’re execution oriented. You have experience leading large cross-functional workstreams, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment. You’re analytical. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools, while using AI to enhance your analytical outcomes. You’re comfortable in ambiguity. You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree. Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
