Role and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development • Inspire and lead Store Managers and their teams within the district to meet and exceed performance expectations. • Promote and model Dollar General’s core values, company culture, and business goals across all stores. • Create a positive, results-oriented work atmosphere focused on customer service, collaboration, and accountability. • Direct recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional growth initiatives to strengthen team capabilities. Sales & Financial Performance • Drive district sales and profit goals through strong merchandising execution, expense control, and efficient inventory management. • Analyze financial performance data and initiate strategic actions to improve outcomes across stores. • Sustain year-over-year sales growth through consistent operational discipline and demand planning. Customer Experience • Ensure a superior customer experience in all district stores by promoting a welcoming, enjoyable, and service-oriented environment. • Develop and implement action plans at the store level to resolve customer concerns and enhance satisfaction metrics. Operational Execution • Supervise inventory and stock management to maintain product availability and appealing presentation. • Uphold all company policies, safety protocols, and operational standards across store locations. • Optimize store schedules to balance labor efficiency with operational needs. Strategic Planning & Growth • Recognize and act on opportunities to improve merchandising, store layout, and expansion efforts. • Collaborate with store leadership to implement strategic initiatives that support regional and corporate objectives. • Adapt plans and operations quickly in response to business trends and market demands. Loss Prevention & Compliance • Protect company property through compliance with all loss prevention, safety, and cash control procedures. • Conduct operational audits and assessments to ensure stores meet internal and regulatory standards. Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail, or a related discipline is preferred. • A minimum of 4 years of experience in multi-unit retail management. • Proven track record in managing profit and loss, boosting sales, and maintaining effective cost control. • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and performance management. • Financial proficiency in analyzing operational reports and managing budgets. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-moving environment. • Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and clear communication. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history with the ability to travel frequently.
