At least seven years of experience in public policy or government affairs, with strong understanding of legislative processes, excellent communication skills, and prior government or legal experience.
Monitor and report on developments related to proposed regulations, legislation, and agency actions. Collaborate with policy team leaders and legal department stakeholders to align messaging and engagement. Draft briefing materials and prepare written communications and advocacy documents. Participate in engagement with policymakers. Organize, prepare for, and conduct meetings with government stakeholders, and lead engagements when appropriate. Coordinate efforts of external consultants supporting advocacy work. Build and maintain relationships with relevant government and policy community stakeholders. Contribute to the development of government relations strategy. Support coalition activities and outreach. Engage with consultants, advisors, and trade associations to monitor a broad array of policy issues, including geopolitical developments and trade matters. Report key developments to senior leaders. Communicate policy updates to internal stakeholders. At least seven years of experience in public policy or government affairs, including experience in a trade association, consultancy, or in house role. Strong understanding of the regulatory and legislative process. Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and accountability, particularly in a remote environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience explaining complex topics to government stakeholders and preparing advocacy materials. Willingness to register under the Lobbying Disclosure Act if required. Prior government experience—especially within Congress—and a law degree. Experience or familiarity with patent law.
