Oversees day-to-day warehouse activities, leads the floor team, and ensures safe, accurate, and efficient movement of goods to meet service and cost targets. Position overview This role is responsible for managing receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping operations within the warehouse while meeting KPIs for safety, productivity, accuracy, and on-time performance. The supervisor is a working leader on the floor who coordinates staff, resources, and systems to support customer and internal requirements. Key responsibilities • Oversee daily warehouse workflows including inbound, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.[betterteam +1] • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation of variances. • Schedule, direct, and support warehouse associates to meet volume, quality, and service goals for each shift. • Enforce safety, security, and housekeeping standards; ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. • Track and report KPIs (productivity, accuracy, on-time shipment, damages) and drive continuous process improvement. • Coordinate with transportation, customer service, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure timely order fulfillment. • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance feedback for warehouse staff. Required skills and experience • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution, including prior lead or supervisory responsibility in an operations environment. • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and basic material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. • Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic office software for reporting and scheduling. • Ability to analyze workload, prioritize tasks, and make real-time decisions under time pressure. • Effective communication and coaching skills to lead diverse teams and resolve operational or personnel issues.
