Job Purpose The Project Manager leads complex telecommunications network modernization initiatives, overseeing the migration and disconnection of legacy circuits to modern technologies such as MPLS, Ethernet, E-Line, and E-LAN. This role coordinates with carriers, vendors, and internal teams, manages project scope, schedule, budgets, and resources, and ensures compliance with technical standards and business requirements. The PM provides clear project reporting and facilitates stakeholder engagement to drive successful delivery of network modernization projects. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end execution of network modernization projects, including disconnection and migration of legacy circuits (POTS, 56K, T1) to modern network technologies. Coordinate with carriers, internal teams, and vendors to ensure timely delivery, installation, and testing of fiber and wireless circuits. Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocations across multiple sites and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting using Microsoft 365 tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and Teams. Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide actionable updates on progress, risks, and resource requirements to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure adherence to technical standards, operational timelines, and business requirements. Support cross-functional teams, demonstrating adaptability and readiness to respond to evolving project needs. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of project management experience in telecommunications or network infrastructure. Strong technical knowledge of communication circuits including TDM, Ethernet, MPLS, E-Line, and E-LAN. Proven experience managing circuit migration projects, including fiber and wireless deployments. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel pivot tables, data tracking, SharePoint, Teams). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage effectively with carriers, SMEs, business users, and executive leadership. Strong organizational and time-management skills; capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Experience managing project budgets and resource allocations efficiently. Ability to quickly understand project direction and support team needs with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills PMP or equivalent project management certification. Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., NERC/CIP compliance). Familiarity with telecom carrier coordination, site surveys, scheduling, and circuit provisioning.
