Lead complex PLC-based control system projects ensuring alignment with technical standards and client requirements.
7+ years managing industrial automation projects with expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs, SCADA, and critical infrastructure environments.
About Us: Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Divcon delivers fully integrated automation solutions nationwide that optimize performance, energy efficiency, and reliability across HVAC, lighting, power monitoring, and mission-critical systems. Leveraging advanced technologies - including Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and Delta DDC systems - we combine deep technical expertise with field-tested execution to deliver precise, scalable, and high-performance solutions. About the role: We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – PLC to lead the successful execution of complex PLC-based control system projects across multiple hyperscale and enterprise data center sites. This role extends beyond traditional project management — it requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in industrial automation, PLC systems, SCADA integration, and critical infrastructure environments. You will drive cross-functional coordination between engineering, field teams, integrators, and clients to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance control systems are delivered on time and within budget. You will serve as a strategic partner to clients and senior leadership, ensuring automation solutions meet rigorous uptime, redundancy, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end execution of multiple PLC and automation projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and client technical standards. • Manage full project lifecycle including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, commissioning, and turnover. • Direct and mentor cross-functional teams including PLC engineers, SCADA developers, field technicians, subcontractors, and commissioning agents. • Own portfolio performance across schedule, cost, quality, and risk metrics; deliver monthly executive-level financial and milestone reporting. • Oversee contract administration, change order management, and vendor/integrator coordination. • Partner directly with clients as primary escalation point for automation-related scope, design, and performance discussions. • Review and approve PLC system architecture, control strategies, I/O design, network topology, and redundancy approaches. • Ensure alignment between PLC systems, SCADA platforms (e.g., Ignition), and facility systems (BMS, EPMS). • Mitigate risk through proactive planning around commissioning timelines, integration sequencing, and system cutovers. • Standardize automation delivery practices across projects to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality. • Ensure compliance with Divcon’s internal systems, cybersecurity standards, documentation protocols, and safety requirements. Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in automation project or program management within PLC, industrial controls, or critical infrastructure environments. • Strong background in Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, SCADA integration, and industrial networking. • Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects involving system integration, redundancy, and commissioning. • Deep understanding of industrial automation systems including central plants, mechanical systems, VFDs, and electrical integration. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering and field teams in high-stakes environments. • Strong financial acumen including forecasting, cost control, and margin management. • Excellent communication skills across technical teams, clients, and executive leadership. • Proficiency with project management platforms (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and financial reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or other high-availability environments. • Familiarity with Ignition SCADA, Kepware, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, or Ethernet/IP. • Experience managing system integrators and commissioning teams. • PMP certification or equivalent.
