The DC Bar seeks an experienced and proactive Manager, Marketing & Communications to serve as a key driver of brand awareness and member engagement at the Bar, partnering closely with internal clients and cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive, multichannel marketing and communication strategies and campaigns in support of Bar programs, services, publications, and initiatives.    Equal parts strategic and tactical, the manager is responsible for drafting and implementing campaign communications and promotional content — including newsletters, and social media posts — across platforms (email, web, social media, print) for diverse audiences.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides day-to-day leadership, management, coaching, training, mentoring and clinical supervision to direct reports.  * Recruits and retains a diverse workforce and works to create an inclusive environment for direct reports within one’s department.  * Develops and executes comprehensive marketing and communication strategies, tactical plans, and campaigns including articulation of goals, audience segmentation, content and creative development, campaign management and optimization, day-to-day client service and support, measurement and reporting, and coordination with editorial and design teams on marketing deliverables. * Serves as the primary strategic marketing advisor for internal Bar clients, such as the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, Pro Bono Center, membership, volunteer communities, publications, professional services, and events. Collaborates with each department to develop and execute member-focused, department-specific content and marketing strategies aligned with the overall Bar brand. * Leads content marketing strategy, including social media; manages and maintains a robust content marketing and social media calendar.  * Writes, edits, and distributes compelling content for Bar channels, including email campaigns and newsletters, invitations, DCBar.org, social media posts, video and multimedia production, and other marketing collateral. * Creates innovative channel-specific creative assets and multimedia content (including podcasts, short videos, and/or animations, and graphics) to foster ongoing member engagement. * Develops a Washington Lawyer page on LinkedIn to amplify our storytelling, promote multimedia content, and engage our members. Creates and deploys short surveys in Washington Lawyer, newsletters, and before/after programs to understand member needs and ensure continuous improvement. * Establishes and reinforces marketing processes and procedures, including the development of templates and best practices; ensures consistent branding across member-facing communications. * Develops, analyzes, and reports on marketing campaign performance metrics and translates data into actionable insights. * Collaborates with all Marketing & Communications team members to help achieve the Bar’s overall marketing and communications objectives. * Performs other duties as assigned.     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Ability to guide cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and collaborate to set strategy, deliverables, and timelines. * Creative and analytical, passionate about storytelling, with a keen eye for detail. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals. * Excellent oral and written communication skills.  * Must be detail oriented and deadline driven. Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work product.  * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must work well in a team environment and be able to interact, including in-person, with Bar members, volunteers, vendors, the public and Bar employees.  * Must work well under pressure, possess excellent organizational abilities, and able to manage several priorities in a day.  * Must be adaptable, creative, and self-motivated.  * Strong problem solving and analytical skills. * Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree.  * Experience with digital asset management, Canva, Google Analytics, and social media and digital marketing platforms. * Relevant marketing experience in an association or professional services organization.     This position is currently a hybrid position, with days worked in the office and days worked remotely.   The hybrid status of this position may change at any time subject to the Bar’s discretion.   This is not an attempt to list all essential functions of this position.  Job duties may change over time based on organizational/department needs.    The D.C.
