Full Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Bioprocessing Account Manager to join our sales team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales. Based in one of our preferred locations—Philadelphia, PA or New Jersey—this role will focus on increasing BIOne sales in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast territory through strategic planning, customer engagement, and technical sales expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the life sciences and a passion for driving customer success in the bioprocessing marketplace. Responsibilities Sales • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase BIOne sales output in the the Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast territory. • Identify and generate leads through research, cold calling, trade shows, and networking. • Respond to customer product inquiries promptly and professionally. • Lead technical sales calls, schedule and conduct demonstrations, and oversee product evaluations at customer sites. • Provide technical application training services for new and existing customers. • Collaborate with product line management and administration to prepare customer quotations. • Successfully close BIOne orders and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction across all stages of the purchasing process. • Actively participate in trade shows and stay informed on industry trends to maintain product competitiveness. Administration • Draft and submit accurate quotations. • Prepare weekly call reports and monthly sales forecasts. • Maintain and update the computerized customer database. • Complete and submit expense statements with supporting documents promptly. Compliance • Perform all responsibilities in adherence to ISO standards and department procedures. Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering) or equivalent experience. Experience • Prior upstream bioreactor experience (mammalian/insect cell culture or fermentation) is preferred. • 1–3 years of direct sales experience in the life sciences space. • Proven experience engaging customers through sales calls, presentations, and training. Skills • High self-motivation with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software. • Ability to work effectively within a team environment. Travel • Willingness to travel 50–75% throughout the assigned region.
