Job Title: Telecom Specialist Location: Remote (Some travel required) Clearance: Active Secret Employment Type: Full-Time Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Telecom Specialist to support enterprise LAN environments across domestic and international locations. This role is hands-on and focuses on the installation, operations, maintenance, and modernization of network and telecommunications infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network and telecommunications systems including switches, firewalls, wireless devices, circuits, cabling, and associated components. Support day-to-day network performance and availability, ensuring reliable voice, data, video, and telecommunications services. Assist with upgrades, lifecycle management, modernization efforts, and replacement of end-of-life systems. Conduct technical analysis, document network configurations, and prepare clear reports and presentations. Lead or support on-site installation activities, including coordinating logistics and managing lift access when wireless equipment is mounted in high locations. Review technical drawings, validate cabling and power layouts, and ensure accuracy of installation specifications. Collaborate with infrastructure engineering teams, vendors, and user stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver accurate solutions. Provide input into project planning, task execution, and scheduling activities. Required Experience & Qualifications 8+ years of telecommunications experience At least 7 years of experience with local area network (LAN) engineering Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware and software components Ability to produce technical documentation and deliver presentations Experience coordinating installation and implementation tasks across teams Certifications DoD 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II or IAM II Computing Environment Certification: CCNP or CCNP-E (or equivalent) Education Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) If you thrive on solving complex problems and building meaningful connections, we'd love to hear from you.
