OverviewSEO Manager (Remote US) - Future Opening role at Directive Consulting. The Content Strategist is a client-facing role responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders. Internally this role is titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO.What You'll DoStrategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices to achieve client goals. Use project phases as a foundation for the initial client strategy and continually optimize based on the client’s marketing goals, campaigns, and performance while adhering to Directive best practices. Collaborate with the Associate Director (AsD) when roadblocks impact strategy and goal attainment.Content and Campaign Development: Craft creative briefs and content campaigns informed by competitor and audience insights; apply industry best practices including LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, share of SERP, and content production.Goal Setting: Use available data to set client goals, with approval from the Associate Director (AsD) in client meetings.Data and Tool Proficiency: Leverage Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and other analytics to inform goals and demonstrate impact.Project Management and Collaboration: Ensure strategy execution using Asana; delegate tasks to team members and clients; coordinate with Project Managers where present; work with content writers and designers to deliver campaigns on time and to quality standards.Communication: Serve as the primary interface between clients and the Directive team; maintain proactive, transparent communication about timelines, progress, roadblocks, opportunities for growth, and any strategic changes through regular updates via Slack and meetings.Reporting: Provide regular progress and impact updates to clients, including bi-weekly meetings and monthly/quarterly/bi-annual business reviews as applicable.What You'll BringProven track record delivering SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.Analytical skills to assess website traffic and SEO metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.Strong communication skills with experience client-facing and managing stakeholder relationships.Agency experience; B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.Excellent organizational, project, and time-management abilities.GoalsNSM Attainment: 100%MRR Retainment: 96%CSAT > 4.2Upsells/Cross-sells/Referrals: look for growth opportunities for clients, including expanding services and budgets; actively pursue referrals when appropriate.What We OfferDirective offers a set living wage, medical/dental/vision plans, disability and life insurance coverage for you and your family, with employer-paid plans for you and partial employer contributions for dependents.
