This position supports project managers and field supervision with a variety of administrative tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role requires adaptability and readiness to work at the center of an active construction job site or to support from an office site. Primary Roles/Responsibilities: Process daily field payroll provided by the general foreman, adhering to pre-defined activity and cost codes. Assist project manager in assembling project quote letters and submitting them to the customer. Track and maintain new and current job logs, estimate logs, manpower logs, and Extra Work Order (EWO) logs. Provide clerical and administrative support such as filing, copying, scanning, printing, maintaining office supplies, etc. as directed by the project manager. Key Must Have’s: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. 2-3 years in a professional environment required. This position requires a lot of attention to detail. Must thrive working in a very busy / hectic environment. Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook) required, Must be proficient in Excel – this is critical. The most important priority is payroll coordination. Wants to find someone what wants to start a career with them and be there for a long time. Someone looking for a career path. SAGE and ProCore experience a plus. Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Reliable and willingness to work overtime when needed. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to simultaneously coordinate and track status of multiple ongoing projects and prioritize work. Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion. Travel: Very little, less then 5%, Up to Auburn Hills if and when needed. The ideal candidate will: Have some office experience – preferably in the trades, construction, customer service. Experience working with teams. Payroll coordination experience. Enjoy supporting a team a being the point person. Can learn this industry form the ground level. Good opportunity for promotional growth.
